Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is a prolific voice actor who is best known for providing English-language automated dialogue replacement (also known as ADR) for a variety of anime productions and video games that were produced abroad. Her voice work career began in 1981 with "Kidô senshi Gandamu I," a science fiction anime in which voiced Matilda Ajan in the English-language version. It proved to be the start of a long and busy career that has already spanned four decades. McGlynn has provided vocals in more than 20 films, 50 TV shows, and 60 video games. She's thrice been cast to recreate the vocals for Japanese voice actor, Atsuko Tanaka, whose deep and sultry tones often bring to life villainous female characters. McGlynn has provided the English-language ADR for Jagura of "Wolf's Rain," Rosso the Crimson of "Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII," and Motoko Kusanagi of the "Ghost in the Shell" series; all these are characters originally played by Tanaka. McGlynn has also branched out into other areas of ADR, working in voice casting and vocal directing for a number of projects.
